Empowering Brains at Every Stage of Life

From childhood through adulthood, we believe learning never stops — and neither should your brain.

At Science of Lifelong Learning, we bring together speech-language pathologists, cognitive specialists, and educators who share one mission: to help people think, communicate, and thrive through every chapter of life. Whether you’re navigating ADHD, postpartum brain fog, chemo recovery, or simply seeking sharper focus and stronger communication, our programs are designed around how the brain truly learns and adapts.

Our Philosophy

We believe in the power of neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to grow, change, and rebuild.
Every client brings a unique story, and we use evidence-based strategies to help each person tap into that potential.

Whole-lifespan focus:

We support clients from early childhood through older adulthood.

Personalised Approach

Our work is grounded in compassion and science, balancing real-world function with measurable progress. We don’t just teach skills — we train the brain to apply them in daily life, relationships, and careers.

Real-world application:

Therapy doesn’t end in the clinic. We teach strategies that transfer into everyday success — at home, at work, and in life.l.

Meet Our Co-Founders

We saw a need for adults experiencing brain-based changesfrom “chemo brain” to ADHD, postpartum cognitive shifts, or agingto receive the same kind of structured, compassionate, and evidence-based care our students do.

Now, our practice bridges the gap between clinical therapy and lifelong learning, helping clients of all ages build lasting skills and confidence.

Lexi brings both personal experience and professional expertise to our mission of revolutionizing special education and cognitive therapy. Diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia — and now a parent to three neurodiverse children — she understands firsthand the challenges and strengths that come with different ways of learning and thinking.

Driven by empathy and innovation, Alexis harnesses technology and evidence-based solutions to empower students and adults with learning differences. Her vision centers on creating accessible, sustainable systems that allow every learner to thrive. With a deep understanding of learning disorders and a passion for systemic change, Alexis strives to equip educators and clinicians with the tools and confidence needed to create meaningful, lasting impact in their communities.

Vanessa is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist and the founder of the Twice Exceptional Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to dismantling systemic barriers that perpetuate educational inequities for students with language-based learning disorders.

Recognizing that public education often lacks the specificity and resources needed to support diverse learners, Vanessa advocates for a paradigm shift — from a “one-size-fits-all” model to individualized, research-driven approaches that honor each student’s unique learning profile. Through comprehensive evaluations, targeted interventions, and advocacy, she works to ensure equitable access to effective, evidence-based services.

Under her leadership, the Twice Exceptional Foundation strives to close the education gap and redefine what it means to support exceptional learners — promoting a future where every child and adult has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Vanessa and Alexis combine clinical expertise, operational innovation, and lived experience to build a network of programs that serve learners across the lifespan. Through Twice Exceptional, Science of Lifelong Learning, and the Twice Exceptional Foundation, they share one mission:
